Stainless steel in the frac industry

In his market report ‘The use of stainless steel in the frac industry’, Robert McIlvaine, President of The McIlvaine Company, highlights how the U.S.A. economy’s success in the past decade can be attributed to the techniques that have been developed in the U.S.A. to fracture shale for oil and gas extraction purposes. The developers have been able to continuously reduce costs with new techniques such as horizontal drilling. However, the transport of sand, with the correct fracking features from Wisconsin and Minnesota to West Texas, has been very costly.
