Stainless steel enclosures

Weidmuller USA has announced the introduction of the newly redesigned line of Klippon STB stainless steel, polished and electro-polished enclosures for hazardous environment use. The Klippon STB (Small Terminal Box) series now meets the latest cULus, ATEX, and GOST standards for hazardous area equipment, making them suitable for use in the process, oil and gas, and petrochemical industries. Made from high quality stainless steel, they are available in eight different sizes ranging from 4.7inx4.7inx 3in to 9.8inx15.8inx 5in- all with IP66 ingress protection. The STB series enclosures feature a high temperature silicone gasket that allows for a wider scope of applications where temperatures range from -50C to +135C. The STB series is designed to withstand the most aggressive industrial environments. The stainless steel ensures corrosion-resistance, even in applications where salt water is consistently present. They have an impact resistance rating of 7J for ATEX, and 10J for standard industrial grade applications. Standard features include a welded internal and external ground stud, fitted to meet grounding requirements, and a ground screw installed on a completely removable lid. Also standard are pre-fitted mounting lugs to prevent the enclosure from vibrating loose from its mount during operation.
