Stainless steel coating for corrosion resistance

Corr-Paint CP3015-SS, a new high temperature, stainless steel and ceramic filled coating developed by US-based Aremco Products Inc., is now used to coat heat exchangers, boiler components, and exhaust headers for corrosion protection to 1500F. The coating is formulated using a waterborne, proprietary silicate binder system filled with a blend of stainless steel and ceramic corrosion inhibiting pigments. This new formulation provides high temperature corrosion resistance on steel and cast iron substrates. Corr-Paint CP3015-SS is a single part coating system that is supplied in a ready to use viscosity of 500-1000 centipoises and solids of 47.0% by weight. It is applied easily using conventional spray equipment, drying to a typical film thickness of 2-3mils.
