SpinTite® is your new blind-threaded insert

PennEngineering’s® new SpinTite blind-threaded inserts will provide strong, permanent and reusable threads in thin sheet materials where only one side is accessible for hardware installation.

Part of the company’s Atlas brand, the blind-threaded inserts are installed from the ‘front’ side, using spin-spin tooling technology. The inserts are then permanently mounted on the ‘back’ side, to accept a mating screw for final component attachment.

This ability to do this ‘blind’ installation, is extremely useful for applications such as tubing and extrusions; applications where access to the back side is limited or non-existent.

Available in steel, aluminum, brass or stainless steel, the inserts ideally replace tapped holes, weld nuts, rivets, self-drilling or tapping screws, and through-bolted applications necessitating loose hardware.

Atlas SpinTite inserts have been designed for use with panels, sheets, or any hardness or material as thin as 0.51 mm.
