Solid carbide coolant-fed micro drills

The EF-Series of high penetration rate drills from Massachusetts-based Emuge Corporation now include a line of sub-micro grain carbide coolant-fed micro drills. The EF High Performance Micro Drills range from 0.0295″ (0.75mm) up to 0.1181″ (3.00mm) in diameter, and are designed for use in aerospace, medical and precision automotive applications when producing very small deep holes in stainless steels, steel, cast iron and non-ferrous materials.

The face geometry of the EF High Performance Micro Drills generates short chips in the drill operation, which aims to ensure high drill hole accuracy. The drills have a TiALN T99 multi-layer PVD coating for added heat- and wear-resistance, reducing built-up edges and edge chipping while increasing tool life. In addition, the large central tool shank channel is designed to guarantee maximum coolant intake capacity for optimal coolant transfer.
