Simonds Saw new bandsaw blades for steel grating

Simonds Saw of Fitchburg, Massachusetts, has intruduced a bandsaw blade designed to provide low vibration and high efficiency cutting of steel grating applications, including stainless steel

The new BITEC PLUS blade, manufactured by Simonds’ partner WESPA in Germany, features a wide band in a variety of widths from 1.25” to 2.0”, which provides maximum beam strength for higher blade tension and cutting rates, making it less susceptible to damage. Unlike conventional wide band blades, the new Simonds blade offers a fine tooth pitch of 5-8 teeth per inch (tpi) which is ideal for grating applications, delivering increased productivity, much quieter cutting and longer blade life.
