SCE signs 21 contracts

Southern California Edison (SCE) has signed 21 contracts as part of their 2010 Renewables Standard Contracts Request for Offers. The contracts include nearly 259MW of power. Twenty contracts focus on electricity generated by solar photovoltaic projects and one includes 19.5MW of wind power. The majority of the agreements are with solar PV firm, Silverado Power. Installations for this company will be ground mounted in Victorville and Lancaster. By the end of 2010, SCE will supply 19% to 20% of its power from renewable resources as per California’s Renewables Portfolio Standard guidelines.
