The engineering group that specializing in tooling, materials technology, mining and construction, Sandvik Materials Technology, will be showcasing its advanced corrosion resistant alloys (CRAs) at NACE Foundation’s Corrosion 2014 exhibition to be held in San Antonio, Texas from March 9 to 13.
The different CRAs that will be on display include duplex, super-duplex and hyper-duplex stainless steels in forms such as instrumentation tubes, coiled workover tubing and finned tubes. The material grades that Sandvik provides have superior corrosion resistance in all kinds of harsh environments compared to standard steel grades such as ASTM 316 and 316L. CRAs prove invaluable for applications like heat exchanger tubing.
Magnus Brodin, Sandvik Group Sales Development Manager has commented, “Corrosion 2014 is an invaluable occasion for us to connect with industry professionals and demonstrate our ability to address critical corrosion resistance issues which lead to material failure, plant breakdowns and costly lost production time.” He continued, “Our full portfolio of corrosion resistant alloys offer extreme resistance to corrosion caused by chlorides and aggressive chemicals in varied applications.”
