Sandvik awarded South American handling contract

This month Sandvik Mining, a business area within Sandvik Group the leading global supplier of equipment and technical solutions for the mining industry, announced that it has secured a major handling contract in South America.
The contract is estimated to exceed 650 million SEK, which will be recorded in the fourth quarter and occur between 2013 and 2015.
 
The order covers engineering, manufacturing, freight and site services of conveying systems comprising relocatable conveyors for a surface mine.
President of the Sandvik Mining business area, Gary Hughes, stated that, “The importance, size and complexity of the conveyor systems and the performance data demonstrate Sandvik Mining’s capability to provide high-tech solutions in the area of continuous mining.”
