Renishaw installs AM system at CATEC

Renishaw, a global manufacturer of metal 3D printing machines, which recently opened its new North American headquarters in West Dundee, Illinois, has announced that its RenAM 500M system has been installed at the Centre for Advanced Aerospace Technologies (CATEC) in Seville, Spain. It is the first installation of this new machine in the Iberian Peninsula.

CATEC is a technology centre that focuses its activity on the promotion and development of R&D activities within the aerospace sector in Andalusia. CATEC is working alongside Renishaw Ibérica in the optimisation of manufacturing parameters of Inconel 718 and other nickel-based alloys for use in high temperature applications in different sectors, such as aeronautics and automotive.
