PeroxyChem constructing new PAA plant in Memphis

The chemical manufacturing company, PeroxyChem, has been awarded a contract for the construction of a new peracetic acid (PAA) production plant to be located in Memphis, Tennessee.
The facility is expected to provide safe and efficient wastewater treatment technology to the city as well as eliminate the need for costly shipping, thereby saving funds and increasing efficiency. The City of Memphis had also conducted extensive research and testing to determine PAA as an efficient disinfection method for the cityÂ’s wastewater.

A ground-breaking ceremony was held at the Maynard C. Stiles wastewater treatment plant and construction work will begin shortly. The new Memphis facility will expand PeroxyChemÂ’s portfolio of peroxygen chemistry manufacturing.
