North Topeka manufacturer expands operations

Kansas-based Stevenson Co. Inc., recently held a ribbon cutting to show off its new 2,500-square-foot expansion that created room for operation of a new CNC (Computer Numeric Control) router machine that aims to allow Stevenson to expand its product options for the food manufacturers it serves.

President Joe Pennington said the new router allows the sheet metal company to expand into other materials approved for use in food manufacturing plants. The company has typically worked in stainless steel, so the new router will open additional markets, he added.
