North Shore Steel expands capabilities

Houston-based steel service center North Shore Steel, which offers stainless, carbon, aluminum and galvanized products, has acquired the equipment assets of Houston Blow Pipe, a plate processing business also located in Houston.

The acquisition includes four press brakes, one of which is a 3,000-ton press brake with a 27.5-ft. bed, as well as several plate rolling machines, welding equipment and forklifts. The company’s steel processing capabilities include rolling up to 10 inch thick, plasma and oxyfuel burning, press forming, machining, code welding and NDT (non-destructive testing).
