Norilsk Nickel, MMC Urals considering cooperation

OJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel and OJSC MMC Urals are considering eventual cooperation for Elanski and Elkinski (Voronej region) ore deposits exploration. Both of the companies are working on a plan of cooperation and negotiations, which may lead to an agreement for a possible joint action.
Elanski and Elkinski ore deposits are the last important copper-nickel fields in Europe, and their commissioning might facilitate additional good-quality ore feeds for both metallurgical companies.
Norilsk Nickel experts may share, if necessary, their experience in the field of new technologies.
The project will pay special attention to ecologic safety of ore extraction and minimize environmental hazards by means of latest technologies at all stages of the production chain.
