The Nickel Institute is pleased to announce that it has published a fully revised second edition of Stainless Steels and Specialty Alloys for Pulp, Paper and Biomass Conversion, which is a popular and practical guide for mill and project engineers within the pulp, paper, and biomass sector.
The revision team was headed by senior editor Dr. Andrew Garner together with 10 other materials specialists, with advice from a task force from the TAPPI Corrosion and Materials Engineering Committee. In addition to covering technology changes for pulp and paper mills, the publication now includes new chapters on biomass conversion mills, risk-based inspection techniques, and a comprehensive guide to the use of corrosion-resistant fasteners.
Of special interest are details about newer duplex stainless steels – their applications and why they work. This book is available free of charge for download from the Nickel Institute website, as well as in the form of a printed edition.
