JFE Shoji Trade Corporation will be establishing a steel processing centre in the north region of Vietnam. The centre, named JFE Shoji Steel Hai Phong (JSHP), will be located the in VSIP Hai Phong industry park in Hai Phong City.
At a cost of US$7 million, the plant occupies a total area of 13,800 square meters with a works area of approximately 5,500 square meters. It will contain one big slitter line and one small slitter line.
JFE Shoji Steel Vietnam (JSSV) began operations in May of 2007. This will enable JFE Shoji to capture demands for steel products all over the Vietnam utilizing processing functions of both JSHP and JSSV.
JFE Shoji currently operates 15 steel processing centers, including five in China, two in Thailand, and one each in Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Mexico and India.
