New knife gate valve use stainless

The Washington-based Lined Valve Company (LVC) has launched its new knife gate valve that has been designed for harsh and abrasive applications such as the coal and mining markets.

For a longer working life in extreme applications, high-chrome iron inserts are incorporated. This robust urethane line valve features a one-piece, molded in place full body liner and integral 650 Brinell hardness high-chrome iron inserts. The Figure 75 is a great addition to the wide range of knife gates offered by LVC, now adding the specific needs of bottom ash and mining tailings.

With a heavy duty cast iron body and yoke, and stainless steel gate and stem, the Figure 75 provides corrosion resistance and durability. The superior packing arrangement provides improved sealing performance in high cycle applications, and a full packing seal around the gate minimizes the potential for packing leakage. Built to MSS SP-81 certification, Figure 75 is available in standard sizes 2-24” with custom sizes available.
