Alro Steel, which stocks stainless steel, copper, bronze, carbon steel, cast iron, and small quantities of titanium, began moving into a new service center in July, 2016 but recently had its official opening. The new facility, located in Northern Tulsa, Oklahoma, is 80,000 square feet, about eight times larger than the west Tulsa facility the company acquired in 1999. The main customers for the Tulsa center, the companys most western site, are in the petroleum and aerospace industries.
Alro has a diverse customer base of some 25,000 clients in every field. The company will work with drop-in customers who are looking to have one item cut to order using either saws or shears for the trimming. Some of Alros other 50 facilities in a dozen states have facilities for laser, flame or water cutting, said Brian Glick, Vice President of Business Development and Marketing.
