New cable tension gauge

Loos & Co. Inc., headquartered in Pomfret, Connecticut, has announced that it has developed a gauge to measure the tension set on steel cables that are used in the construction of architectural stainless steel cable railings. The new model PT-CR tension gauge allows the installer of the railings to tension the cables to pre-determined settings. The cables are usually tensioned to between 200 and 400lbs of tension depending on the size of the cables used. The model PT-CR is compact is accurate to within + or – 5% of the tension measurement.
