Morris Group teams up with Desktop Metal

Morris Group Inc., a CNC machine tool supply network based in Windsor, Connecticut, has been selected by Desktop Metal of Burlington, Massachusetts, as a top-tier, Diamond Partner supplier of its Studio System™ metal 3D printing systems in 30 states from Maine to Florida to the Dakotas.

The metal 3D printing system, designed for rapid prototyping, includes a printer, a debinder and a sintering furnace. It uses the proprietary Bound Metal Deposition (BMD) process to produce near-net-shape parts, eliminating the need for hazardous powders, lasers and cutting tools. It can be used with a variety of materials, from steels and copper to INCONEL® alloy.
