Metal supplier opens new location

Metal Supermarkets has opened a location in northwest Houston. The franchise, with branches across Canada, the US and the United Kingdom, specializes in selling metal products in small quantity metals cut to size.
The company has leased 5,500 square feet in the Pineway Center and stocks some 8,000 products in various shapes and grades. The range of metals offered includes aluminum, steel, stainless steel, brass and copper.

Clement Njowo, the franchise owner and operator of the new store, explains, “Most metal suppliers are usually large distributors and they sell to large conglomerates. For smaller users, they’re usually priced out of the market. That’s where we come in.”

Just some of the store’s customers include welding shops and factories that handle repair and maintenance of various products. Franchise owners Mark Lyons and Ben Orr are planning on opening a Metal Supermarkets in Sugar Land, Texas later this month. It will be the second store in the Houston area and the sixth overall in Texas.
