Macsteel service center

Macsteel Service Centers USA has opened a new 100,000sq/ft facility in Portland to service the US Pacific NW region, including the states of Oregon, Washington and Idaho. The new service center will process and stock carbon, stainless and aluminum flat rolled and wide flange beams. Future addition of channels, angles, tubes and plates is under consideration. The facility offers in-house cutting and cambering, with capacity to cut 40in beams and to camber 30in wide beams with weights as much as 148lbs/ft. Mr James Rapae former operations manager for stockiest Ryerson’s Portland facility, has been named manager of plant operations for Macsteel’s new facility, one of 32 locations owned by the California-based company.
