Linde building ethane cracking units for Shell

Technology company The Linde Group, has entered into an Enterprise Framework Agreement (EFA) with Shell Global Solutions International B.V. The 10-year EFA, which has an option to extend, is for the construction of ethane cracking units across the world.
In detail, it includes the licensing, engineering, procurement and construction services, along with the supply of proprietary equipment of ethane cracking units. Linde is looking forward to using its ethylene technology and experience in project execution excellence to help Shell expand its global petrochemical market.

As the initial step in the EFA, Linde was given the contract for the licensing and basic engineering design package for a potential world scale ethane cracker unit.
