Lincoln Electric has promoted Tim Birky to marketing communications manager, in charge of overseeing the LE’s U.S. creative services, marketing communications, events and trade show teams. Birky joined the LE team in 2006 as a member of its Sports Marketing Department. He was responsible for managing the company’s marketing initiatives and sponsorship with the Indy Racing League and National Hot Rod Association. He was promoted to motorsports marketing specialist for NASCAR® in 2008 and supervised LE’s sponsorship, marketing and licensing agreements with NASCAR, in addition to NASCAR Sprint Cup Series teams and tracks. A Purdue University graduate, Birky holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership and supervision and an associate’s degree in computer information technology.
