Latin America finished steel Chinese imports grow

It is being reported from The Latin American Steel Association (Alacero) that from January to March 2015, South America received 2.4 million tons of finished steel from China, which is 29 percent more than the amount that was received during the first quarter of 2014.
The average price per ton was USD $621, which was approximately seven percent less than the same period in 2014. The average value of the shipments to Latin America was four percent higher when compared with the rest of the world, however the average price of seamless pipes remained seven percent lower than the global average.
