Joining Technologies Inc. spins off new company

Joining Technologies Inc. has spun off its American Cladding Technologies division as a wholly owned subsidiary. American Cladding, located in East Granby, Connecticut, provides laser metal deposition services.

The new company will continue to specialize in providing services to the valve, waste-to-energy power production and aerospace industries, as well as locomotives and industrial gas turbines.

In the cladding operation, lasers are used to deposit powdered metal onto the surface of metal items, such as tubes, that need a wear or corrosion resistant coating – an adaptable process with applications across many industries. American Cladding will be fully operational by April 1st 2017, said Jeff Whittaker, President.
