Johansen to lead Alaska Ops

ConocoPhillips has announced that, effective 1 April 2010, Trond-Erik Johansen, currently president of its SE Asia Exploration and Production organization, will become president of its Alaska operations. He replaces long-time ConocoPhillips Alaska President Jim Bowles, who died while snow machining on the Kenai Peninsula 13 February. Mr Johansen, a native of Norway, joined ConocoPhillips in 1986 at Stavanger, Norway. He has held a variety of petroleum engineering, project engineering and operations leadership positions in Stavanger, Aberdeen, New Orleans, Houston and Jakarta. In 2008 he was named to his current position based in Singapore.
