With great sadness, the ITA Board of Directors has announced the death of Mr Edward F Sobota Sr during a flight training session in Pennsylvania, USA on Saturday morning, 7 August 2010. Mr Sobota’s current position at the International Titanium Association was Past President. Mr Sobota served on the ITA Board of Directors since 1999. He held positions including Director, VP, and President. In past years he served as Chairman of the Applications Committee and the Achievement Award committee. He also served on the Nominating and Conference committees. Mr Sobota was the President and CEO of TSI Titanium, a member company of the International Titanium Association since 1996. He was an avid golfer and licensed commercial pilot. Members of the ITA Board will miss his presence, leadership, and vision.
