ISSF updates educational material for architects & engi

In May 2014, the International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF) launched a new educational course to increase the knowledge of the benefits of using stainless steel in the architecture, building and construction (ABC) sector of the market. Known as the ISSF Education Project, this course has proved to be very popular with lecturers and students.

In June 2015, ISSF launched the second edition of this popular course, which features: A new chapter (“Stainless steel in Art”); expanded chapters, particularly on built examples; a fully reviewed chapter on structural applications; more on properties such as stiffness, strength to weight ratios; and about 30 percent more material with a total of over 400 slides.

Each of the modules has been prepared by a panel of industry experts and reviewed by the advisory board, which includes professors from a number of renowned schools of architecture.

The modules can be downloaded free of charge in .pdf or .pptx format from the worldstainless website.
