ISSF Education Project

In May 2014, the International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF) launched a new educational resource to increase the awareness of the potential of stainless steel in the architecture, building and construction (ABC). Known as the ISSF Education Project, the series of resources has already proved popular with lecturers and students.

In June 2015, ISSF just launched the second edition of this popular education resource, which features: A new chapter called “stainless steel in art”, expanded chapters (especially on stainless steel applications), a fully reviewed chapter on structural applications, more on properties such as stiffness and strength/weight ratio, etc.

Each of the existing ten modules has been prepared by a panel of industry experts and reviewed by the advisory board, which includes professors from a number of renowned architectural schools.
