HFT enhances its weld purging technology

Huntingdon Fusion Techniques (HFT®), whose US headquarters are located in Florida, has announced that it is launching an updated hand held PurgEye® 200 Weld Purge Monitor with PurgeNetTM. When welding metals such as stainless steel and titanium, it is essential to measure the oxygen level before, during and after welding. This analysis can be conducted using the Weld Purge Monitor®, according to HFT.

The portable PurgEye 200 is now manufactured with an organic light emitting diode (OLED) display, which is designed to give brighter, clearer and sharper readings for viewing. The updated model also has an integral electromechanical pump so it can be used to extract samples from a weld purge zone, where there is insufficient flowrate or positive pressure to activate the sensor correctly.
