Hamilton Metals Opens New Facility

Hamilton Metals, one of the largest stocking distributors of Corrosion Resistant Alloys (CRA) for the exploration and production industry, has opened a new stocking facility in Edmonton, Alberta. Customers can now benefit from quicker delivery times at a lower cost. Darren McLean, Sales and Operations Manager, Hamilton Metals Canada, said: “Product that used to take 7-10 days to deliver to our Canadian clients and cost 15% more is now available for same day or next day delivery and at a lower cost. The improved delivery time coupled with Hamilton Metal’s industry leading quality assurance standards will provide excellent value to our Canadian clients.  In today’s economy where companies are cautious of their expenditures, this is a major factor; it’s definitely a long term mindset for us, we’re here to service our customers better and we’re excited about this opportunity.”

Serving the energy sector worldwide for three decades, Hamilton Metals is currently in the middle of a global expansion. Edmonton, Alberta was chosen as the new location due to the company’s solid customer base in Edmonton and Calgary. “Alberta is the hub of the oilfields in Canada, just as Houston is in the U.S. and so for us to have a presence there makes perfect sense.” McLean explained.

The new 20,000sq/ft indoor facility features raw materials including Mechanical Tubing, Mechanical Bar Stock, Casing and Coupling Stock and Semi-Finished products available in carbon steel, stainless steel, chrome, nickel, duplex, alloys and titanium of various sizes.
