Norres Schlauchtechnik, the German industrial hose company that supplies hoses in a variety of materials including stainless steel, has chosen South Bend, Indiana for the location of its new plant.
The company has purchased a 30,000-square-foot plant that is on 3.67 acres of land and will begin operations later this month. The facility will be run as a subsidiary of Norres Schlauchtechnik and be called Norres North America. The hiring process for the engineering, production, sales and administrative teams has already begun. It is expected that 32 personnel will be hired.
Norres North America is planning to manufacture and supply its products to a wide-ranging market in the US, including technical retailers, original equipment manufacturers as well as end-user customers. In addition to this new North American facility, Norres operates plants in Germany, China and the United Kingdom.
