GE supplies Peru NGL plant

GE Oil & Gas received a USD 32 million contract from PlusPetrol Peru Corporation S.A. to supply compression and reinjection upgrade equipment for the Malvinas Natural Gas Liquid (NGL) processing plant. The equipment is intended to boost the output of the processing plant, located 400km from Lima at the southern section of the Peruvian Amazon Rainforest. GE will be responsible for upgrading two existing GE Frame-5C Dry Low Nox (DLN) gas turbine modules with Frame-5D DLN technology and Extendor kit technology. The first technology will reduce emissions and the second will decrease outages, extending the life cycle of the equipment. Three existing Frame-5D DLN modules will be upgraded with Extendor kits as well. This contract coincides with GE’s expansion across the Latin American oil and gas sector. The company specializes in equipment and services for all sectors of the oil and gas industry including drilling and production, LNG, pipelines and storage, industrial power generation, refining and petrochemicals. They also design and manufacture wire line and drilling measurement solutions for the oilfield services segment. Currently, they have installed 1000 gas turbines and compressors throughout the region and inspected more than 50,000km of oil, gas, water and refined product pipelines in Latin America.
