Fonon announces metal AM product line

Lake Mary, Florida-based Fonon Corporation recently introduced its FUSION 3DF150 laser sintering machine, an addition to the company’s Bulk-to-Shape technology initiative. This technology represents the company’s foray into production-level metal additive manufacturing (AM) and its goal to bring metal 3D printing to Manufacturing Readiness Level Ten as quickly as possible.

The FUSION 3DF150 laser sintering machine is designed to fulfill the requirements of a variety of manufacturing applications, including aerospace components and implantable medical devices with complex geometries. It can also be used to print tooling inserts with conformal cooling channels that cannot be created using other manufacturing processes.

Fusion 3DF150 is able to use a wide range of metal powders, including:

• Stainless Steel
• Inconel
• Tool Steel
• Cobalt-Chromium
