fischer USA expands manufacturing facility

The Manchester, Tennessee based supplier of stainless steel tubing, fischer USA, has announced a major expansion of its Coffee Country manufacturing facility.

This expansion will be the largest in the company’s history and is a direct result of the facility more than doubling its employment over the last two years, going from 26 employees to 56. Plant manager Mr. Joe Franks said the current expansion could double that number again, with approximately 50 more jobs, which could range from maintenance technicians and machine operators to office and warehouse support.

The expansion will consist of two phases, the first being an approximate 35,000-square-foot addition to be completed by the end of September 2015. The second phase will consist of a new structure with roughly 100,000 square feet and will be overseen by the company’s general contractor, Jamesway Construction. The new facility will house new equipment and is planned for occupancy by January 2016.
