Feldmeier moving to Clay, NY

Feldmeier Equipment Inc. (Feldmeier), a manufacturer of stainless steel tanks for pharmaceutical and other industries, is planning to move its factory and headquarters from DeWitt to a larger 130 000 sq.-ft. facility in Clay, Syracuse, to handle an expected increase in business.

The move won’t immediately create any new jobs at Feldmeier, but it will help the company handle an expected increase in sales to the pharmaceutical industry, said Tim Geraets, the company’s controller. The building on Edgecomb Drive was formerly occupied by Macsteel and is currently vacant. Feldmeier said it expects to close on its purchase of the building in December and to move in September of 2016 after renovating the structure.
