Fagor Arrasate and Butech Bliss partner in North American coil-processing

Fagor Arrasate and Butech Bliss have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing the combined ability of both companies to deliver advanced coil-processing solutions worldwide. The collaboration merges Fagor Arrasate’s global engineering expertise, automation technologies, and advanced coil-processing solutions with Butech Bliss’s strong local presence, execution capability, and lifecycle service support in the North American market.

“Butech Bliss has a long history of designing, building, and supporting coil-processing systems for demanding applications. This partnership allows us to complement our existing coil-processing solutions with Fagor Arrasate’s technologies, giving customers broader options to improve performance leveraging the engineering and service support they already trust,” said Jock Buta, CEO of Butech Bliss.

A key element of the collaboration is Fagor Arrasate’s FASTR slitter tooling robot, an advanced automation system designed to improve safety, consistency, and changeover efficiency. FASTR will be offered as part of a broader slitting solution portfolio and can be applied to both new slitting lines and existing installations, regardless of the original equipment manufacturer.

As part of the agreement, Fagor Arrasate will also integrate Butech Bliss scrap choppers and stretch levelers into its global product offering. The partnership extends beyond new equipment sales to include service, aftermarket, and rebuild support. In addition, the companies are evaluating opportunities to localize manufacturing and service for select Fagor Arrasate spare parts in the United States, complementing the company’s existing service infrastructure with Butech Bliss’s field-service organization and offering customers enhanced lifecycle support and fast response times.

“Butech Bliss brings a strong combination of unique slitting and coil-processing technologies, deep application expertise, and a well-established service organization in North America. This partnership allows us to pair Fagor Arrasate’s global engineering and automation capabilities with local execution and support, helping customers implement advanced slitting solutions with confidence,” said Mikel López, Managing Director, Metals Division, at Fagor Arrasate.

This partnership enables customers worldwide to benefit from the combined strengths of two of the most respected engineering organizations in the industry, delivering fully integrated solutions backed by advanced technology and robust service capabilities.
