Exterran to build Bolivia gas plant

Petrobras has awarded Exterran Holdings, Inc. a contract for the design, fabrication and sale of a major natural gas processing and treating facility in Itau, Bolivia. The facility is a dew point gas processing plant that can process 200 million standard cu/ft of natural gas per day and is expected to start up during 2013. Exterran will be primary contractor on the project, supplying equipment; engineering, procurement and construction products and services; and project management. Exterran’s President and CEO Brad Childers had this to say: “This project further expands our presence in the Latin America region and demonstrates Exterran’s capacity to provide a single source for product integration, project management and efficient delivery, installation and startup.” This is Exterran’s largest gas processing facility by capacity in Latin America.
