A mill test certificate (MTC) is an important component in the transaction between the manufacturer and buyer of products such as seamless pipes, pipe fittings, sucker rods, and steel plates. The MTC will include all specifications of the steel product, including dimensions, sizes, weight, chemical composition, mechanical strength, heat treatment status, test results, traceability, and so on. Documents such as the MTC are necessary in order to fulfill traceability requirements, and the EN 10204 is often referenced as guidance for such requirements.
