Electrode to weld nickel-chromium-molybdenum

Select-Arc Inc.’s new gas-shielded, flux cored, nickel-based electrode, SelectAlloy 622-AP, is designed to provide corrosion resistance. It was developed to weld nickel-chromium-molybdenum to itself or to other nickel-based alloys. This electrode, composed of 21% chromium, 14% molybdenum, 5% iron and 3% tungsten with a balance of nickel, is also used for surfacing steel and for joining nickel-based alloys to steel. Available in a .045in diameter, SelectAlloy 622-AP is utilized in offshore and marine environments, chemical and power generation equipment and petroleum refining. It is also widely used to clad steel when outstanding corrosion resistance is required.
