Edward Dean named BPS President

Babcock Power Services Inc. (BPS), located in Worcester, Massachusetts, a subsidiary of Babcock Power Inc., based in Danvers, Massachusetts, has announced that Edward Dean has been promoted to President and CEO of Babcock Power Services, succeeding Theodore Maliszewski, who recently announced his intent to retire in the foreseeable future and has accepted the position of Executive Director, Babcock Power Services, to assist Mr Dean in the transition. Mr Dean brings to the position over 30 years of operations and management experience in the power industry. Since January 2008 he has served as Vice President of the Western Region for Babcock Power Sales. Mr Dean previously served as the Executive Vice President, Power Services for the Foster Wheeler Power Group, and also led the Central Region Power Services business unit as Regional Vice President. Mr Dean has also worked for Tampella Power Corp., ABB Canada and with Combustion Engineering/ABB.
