US-based company Cobra Tanks, specializing in field-constructed welded stainless steel tanks for a variety of industries such as potable water, wastewater and chemical storage, has announced a new coil construction which adds strength to the design of their tanks. The tanks are made from a highly corrosion resistant duplex stainless steel coil. During the construction process, adjacent upper and lower bends are made to the coil, and are then welded together on a track system supported by a series of rollers guiding the revolving shell upwards on a helical path. The continuous ribbing effect achieves a stronger tank wall design, reducing bulging and produces stronger welds.
