D3 Tech becomes 3D printing-capable

D3 Technologies has added has installed a Markforged Metal X printer, which gives the company’s machine shop in Springfield, Missouri, 3D-printing.

The addition of the printer allows the company to demonstrate and sell end-to-end manufacturing solutions to clients and companies interested in additive manufacturing.

Until recently, the machine shop focused on subtractive manufacturing, housing a variety of CNC equipment for processing aluminum, stainless steel, carbon, plastic, and other materials. D3’s corporate office, also in Springfield, houses four 3D printers for building composite parts.
