Corrosion Materials adds plasma & waterjet

Corrosion Materials, a leader in corrosion resistant alloy distribution, has added a Messer High-Definition Plasma and a second Flow Waterjet at its Baker, Louisiana facility. Both machines are designed to produce high quality parts to service the market in a cost effective manner. The Messer MPC2000 400 amp machine features a cutting envelope of 120” x 340” and cuts up to 1-3/4” thick parts with smooth cut edges and exact cut holes at very high accuracy and repeatability. The waterjet is Flow’s latest Mach 3 7320B with the HyperJet pump and Dynamic Waterjet options added. The HyperJet pump is rated at 94,000 psi and cuts up to 50% faster than the existing 60,000 psi waterjet. Flow’s Dynamic Waterjet ensures accurate cutting by eliminating the inside corner washout and taper produced by all waterjets. The machine has a cutting envelope of 80” x 300”. With these new machines, Corrosion Materials can continue its focus on growth and quality.
