Continental Carbonic Products acquired by Matheson

The New Jersey-based Matheson Tri-Gas Inc., the global manufacturer and supplier of industrial and speciality gases and welding gases and supplies, has acquired Continental Carbonic Products, Inc. (CCPI).

CCPI, located in Illinois, is a manufacturer and supplier of dry ice and liquid carbon dioxide. There are 31 branch locations and eight production facilities located throughout the United States. It has been reported that CCPI has successfully expanded in the US to become a major supplier of dry ice. The acquisition will allow Matheson a new platform for growth and extension of their existing product offering.

Bob Wiseman II, CEO of CCPI, has commented, “While Continental has enjoyed tremendous growth thanks to our dedicated employees and loyal customers, the potential for future growth is even greater. To realize that potential, we believe that Continental needs an ownership structure and the necessary capital and other resources that MATHESON is well equipped to provide.”
