Chile’s Mo production for Q1

Corporacion Nacional del Cobre (CODELCO), the Chilean state owned copper mining company, has announced the results of its molybdenum (Mo) production and sales for the first quarter from January to March 2015.
Results reveal that the production volume of molybdenum in pure element equivalent was 13.2 million Ibs (or 6,000 tons), which represented a drastic decrease of 25 percent compared to the same period in 2014 (which was 17.6 million Ibs or 8,000 tons).

The good news was that the sales volume of Mo in the pure equivalent was 15.4 million Ibs (7,000 tons), which represented an increase of 17 percent compared to the previous year’s total of 13.2 million Ibs (6,000 Ibs).
