SpeedMask masking resin

Dymask Corp. has released the SpeedMask 730-BT, a masking resin formulated to provide surface protection during chemical milling/etching, plating, anodizing, and aggressive grit-blasting operations aiding in the manufacturing, overhaul, repair, and rework of turbine engine blades, vanes, and other turbine components as well as many other metal finishing applications.

Tata Steel extends mining deal

Tata Steel has extended its exclusive option to undertake Canadian iron ore projects through its Canada-based partner New Millenium Capital Corp. (NMCC) to 31 December 2010.

Shale gas pipeline

Eagle Ford Gathering LLC (EFG), a joint venture of Kinder Morgan Energy Partners LP and Copano Energy LLC, will construct 85mi of 24in and 30in OD pipeline to move natural gas produced in the Eagle Ford shale by SM Energy Co. from La Salle, Dimmit, and Webb Counties in Texas to the Freer compressor station in Duval County, Texas, for transport on KMEP’s Laredo-to-Katy (LK) pipeline.

USW members ratify labor agreement

Members of the United Steelworkers (USW) Local 1865 union have ratified a three-year extension to a labor agreement covering about 750 hourly production and maintenance steel operations employees at AK Steel’s Ashland (KY) Works.
