Lincoln Electric has added two new lines of stainless welding consumables, the Excalibur® stainless stick electrode and the Lincolnweld® stainless submerged arc wire and flux. These brands will replace the LE’s current stainless products, Red Baron® and Blue Max®. EVP and COO Goodish to retire from US Steel
John H. Goodish will retire from United States Steel Corporation effective 31 December 2010, after 40 years of service with the company. Goodish joined the US Steel team as an accounting manager trainee in 1970.
Wescast to expand foundry in China, Hungary

GE will build a 500MW gas fired power plant in Ondo State, Nigeria. The company will supply four Frame 9E gas turbines, generators and accessories in addition to technical assistance and training. 
Lincoln Electric has added the Mobiflex® 200 M and 400 MS to its line of products. These low vacuum systems designed for welding fume extraction and filtration are suitable for smaller manufacturing facilities requiring light to medium duty fume extraction in various locations. 
ThyssenKrupp will push construction of a cost saving melt shop plant forward in an attempt to compete against rivals. Originally scheduled for 2014, production on the U.S. plant will now begin in 2013. .
