Suncor Energy (Suncor) has appointed Janice Odegaard as senior vice president and general counsel. Siemens Energy will supply Minnesota Power’s Bison 1 wind power plant with 15 of its SWT-3.0-101 direct drive wind turbines in Center, North Dakota. The company adjusted their initial order, replacing 33 Siemens SWT-2.3-101 geared wind turbines with 16 SWT-2.3-101 and 15 SWT-3.0-101 direct drive machines.
William J. Moran has been named president and chief executive officer of Trinity Steel Fabricators, Inc., effective 3 January 2011. Moran’s most recent position was with a private equity firm that specialized in advising on the acquisition and integration of energy service companies.
WISCO has signed an agreement with Canadian miner, Adriana Resources Inc. to jointly develop the LacOtelnuk iron ore program in Quebec, Canada. The mine has a total reserve of 6 billion mt of magnetic concentrate with 30% iron content.
Rich Marcogliese, Valero Energy Corp.’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer will retire at the end of 2010. Marcogliese left Exxon and joined the Valero team in 2000.
